World Civilization Forum 2012
In Pursuit of Inter-Generational Justice
Organized by World Civilization Forum 2012 Executive Committee, and Nikkei Inc.
Sponsored by NHK
Supported by All Nippon Airways Co., Ltd.
Outline: In the 21st century, with its rapidly changing values and technologies, it is our important duty not only to ensure intra-generational justice but to give sufficient consideration to inter-generational justice. To promote the realization of inter-generational justice, we will organize a discussion by leading intellectuals from all over the world, taking as our sub-themes "Based on the lessons drawn from the March 11 disaster and other developments, what kind of global environment and economy/society should we aim for in the 21st century?" and "What kind of role can culture and the arts play in fostering the human potential needed for this?" We will seek to develop a minimum (loose) consensus we can share with the international community.
